He is also a managing partner and founder at MedScience Ventures (Boston), a life sciences venture capital fund, and managing partner and founder of Healthcare Capital Partners (London), a private equity and corporate finance advisory boutique specialising in life sciences.

As part of his activities Stefano is a founder, board member and investor in several healthcare and medtech ventures and private equity funds focusing on healthcare investments in Europe and the US. He was the founder and CEO of Renal Services, a UK dialysis company now part of DaVita, founder and board member of Pure Life Renal, a US dialysis services company, founder and co-chairman of Renal@Home, a remote patient monitoring company, a founder and board member of Biofficient, a bio-procurement platform, founder and board member of UV Light Care, a US medical devices company, a board member of Yofumo Technologies, a US biomass decontamination company, chairman of the board of Sleepiz, a Swiss respiratory medical devices company spun out of ETH, a board member of Pathfinder Medical, a medical devices company spun out of Imperial College, and an advisory board member to Spiden, a Swiss medtech company.

Stefano earned an MBA from Imperial College Business School in London in 1994 and holds a degree in economics from Kingston University in London. Stefano is Honorary Fellow of Imperial College Business School in London and Mentor at Imperial Enterprise Lab’s Venture Mentoring Service as well as a member of the Chair of Entrepreneurship at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich).

Jack served as EVP and eventually a Principal and CEO of Arrow Trading Company, Inc., which created, manufactured, and imported product for retailers and premium users. Jack secured exclusive licenses for the company, which included Givenchy, Pierre Cardin, Coca-Cola, Hershey Foods, and Anheuser Busch brands. He also assisted in creating major promotional programs for Fortune 500 companies and supplied premiums for companies such as American Express, RJ Reynolds, Phillip Morris, Lorillard, Hertz, Time Inc., Estee Lauder, Calvin Klein, and Kraft-General Foods.

He started Irody and CareTuner. Prior to starting Irody, Dr. Bartfeld cofounded Integra5, growing the company to 50 employees working in two sites and underwent several rounds of VC investment. Dr. Bartfeld previously founded UniTel, a developer of unified messaging. Under his guidance, the company deployed more than 300 systems worldwide and raised two rounds of financing. Both Integra5 and UniTel led to exit events. Earlier in his career Dr. Bartfeld spent several years in academia doing brain research. This research performed at The Rockefeller University in New York and at the Weizmann Institute. His work had been published in the Proceedings of the American National Academy of Science and is routinely cited in scientific articles and textbooks. Dr. Bartfeld is the inventor of 15 issued patents. He earned his PhD in Medical Informatics and a DMD from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
